Turkey Prime Minister
The Turkish Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, is stepping down from his position this month. |
The Turkish prime Minister recently stepped down from his position due to... In Turkey the Prime Minister actually has more power, than the President. "Speaking in Ankara, Davutoglu said he would not seek the leadership of the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party) at an extraordinary congress of the party on May 22, effectively ending his tenure as prime minister."
Reaction
When I first read this, my instant reaction was "Oh my gosh!", but then I thought about it. He obviously has a good reason for stepping down from his position, whether if it was health reasons or maybe family reasons. He has been the Prime Minister since 2014, but it hasn't been the best of the two years. I mean Turkey is doing way better now then they have in the past, but they aren't doing as well as they could be doing. I think it is a good opportunity to get a better Prime Minister for their country now that he has stepped down.
